2025- A Knitters Expectations

So now it is twenty twenty five, and we are ready to get these needles working.

I was having a little bit of a high from finishing my Hjarta dress, and now I'm ready to focus on some new goals for the new knitting year.

So what things do I want to focus on in 2025? When it comes to my knitting?I think, first, it's gonna be stash busting. In conjunction with that, I will also be focusing on making for my family in order to get rid of this yarn.

Since my daughter, my oldest put in her request early, I will be starting her sweater first. Which is the bestie hoodie by TinCan knits.

Another thing I'd like to make. This year will be a sweater for my husband. I have never had the desire to make him a sweater. Never in the 10 years we've been together. However, I feel like he has earned the right to have at least one wearable garment besides a hat that he can wear with pride when amongst his friends. Plus, since he is a string bean with legs, it won't even take that long to finish.

So below you will find a couple of patterns I've had my eyes on. Also, I love the comfort of making some things for my home that I would like to put my knitters touch on, so maybe a couple of pillows covers, another blanket of course. I always thought the idea of kitchen curtains would be awesome but I've only ever seen crochet ones, so I'll do my best to find or create a knit pair.

What suggestions do you have as far as patterns that I can use this year in making it the best knitting year possible? What plans have you made for yourself that you look forward to accomplishing?
